What a chapter is
Trillion Trees chapters do not plant trees. A chapter is the table where everyone in a city already working on climate sits down together — nurseries, forest bodies, NGOs, universities, government departments, businesses and funders. The City Director is the person who convenes that table, four times a year.
What the City Director in Gujrat does
Knows who is already doing the work in their city, and gets them in one room. Convenes a public gathering each quarter. Contributes sourced records to the public registry. Represents Trillion Trees locally. This is an unpaid volunteer appointment.
What the appointment carries: the title in writing, a listing on the public chapter register, introductions through the national network, access to every other chapter, and a written reference at the end of the term.
